NBA Free Agents Pierce, Nowitzki, & Johnson Stay home

Nowitzki agreed Saturday night to give a hometown discount to the only team he’s ever known, reaching terms with owner Mark Cuban on what sources close to the talks say is a four-year deal worth $80 million

Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics have agreed to a four-year, $61 million deal, Pierce opted out of the final year of his contract and sacrificed $21.5 million to give the Celtics room to re-sign Ray Allen and add another piece to a Boston team that came within one win of its second NBA title in three years.

Atlanta offered Johnson, a four-time All-Star, approximately $119 million over six years – nearly $27 million more than any other team could offer.
